Who are the Victims in the Micheal Jackson Case?

The verdict is in regarding AEG's role in the death of Michael Jackson.  The entertainment company representing Michael Jackson was found not guilty. The jury did not have to fine the company negligent, but only had to decide if they had hired a competent physician. The jury found the attending Physician was competent to treat Michael Jackson even if his role in Michael Jacksons death was irresponsible.

This comes as a devastating blow to the Jackson family we sought reparations from the entertainment company, AEG. Most were assured after the conviction of a Physician, a conviction of the entertainment company would soon follow. Many on the site of the Jackson family as well as those across the country disagree with the jury's decision.

Representatives for the Jackson family only cited the incompetence of the attending Physician and his role in Michael Jacksons death. Of this charge, AEG was not guilty. Members of the jury stated afterward that had negligence on the part of the entertainment company included by Jackson attorneys the decision would have gone another way.  So it seems in this respect, the negligence and incompetence lie squarely with the Jackson family attorneys.

It is unfortunate such an iconic entertainer so senselessly lost his life.  But negligence and incompetence do not stop with the attending physician, the entertainment company or the family attorneys. Michael Jackson was addicted to prescription pain medication. The responsibility to intervene and try to help him get off the drugs lies first with the family.  Michael's drug addiction was enabled by everyone around him.

Michael Jackson was a grown man, capable of making his own decisions, is the first responsible party in his own death. It is heartbreaking to see his children suffering through the court battles. They stand with blank faces inside the family while photographers take pictures of their pain. I firmly believe in our justice system and feel it is the best and world. It is not perfect. If our justice system in America were perfect everyone close to Michael Jackson that enabled him to get these drugs and helped him take these drugs would be in prison...  Including Michael Jackson himself.

There are many involved in this tragedy raising their hands as victims.  Michael Jackson has often been referred to as the victim. The family have been referred to as victims. The entertainment company had been referred to as a victim of wrongful accusations.  The only victims in this case are Michael Jacksons children.
