Could Obamacare Crash the System?

Increased patient demand for medical services, worsening shortage of doctors, longer wait to get a doctor's appointment, and crowded emergency rooms are expected as a result of Obamacare. Are these simply scare tactics, or should we really be concerned?

The mandatory insurance rules of Obamacare will kick in next year. So many people were anxious to get access to health insurance when the insurance marketplaces opened Tuesday, more than a dozen of the websites experienced technical glitches.

Doctors worry this coming flood of newly insured patients may crash the U.S. health care system as well. How did we let this happen? Wasn't someone supposed to be watching for this sort of thing? Where are the experts that predicted this health care disaster in the making. God forbid people who cannot afford the privilege of American care and treatment actually receive it.

The teeming uninsured already treat the emergency rooms as if they were free clinics. The shortage of doctors continues to rise rather than risk touching someone who cannot afford a $25 aspirin. But who can blame them? They owe hundred of thousands in student loans by they time they graduate.

Let's stop, take a deep breath and calm down for a moment. Let's follow the blame trail to its source. The uninsured are uninsured because they can not afford the outrageous cost of health care. Health care has to price gouge to cover the costs of the hundreds of thousands who cannot afford care. The math is quite simple is it not?

We have billions available to send overseas by the C-130 fulls. We have trillions tied up in national debt. And we have untold amounts of currency keeping our flaccid government afloat. Hey, I'm all for kicking the blame over to President Obama. After all, wasn't he is just graduating college when he got us into this mess? And since we are all predicting the sky is about to fall anyway, I will put forth a dire warning of my own. Health care was a ticking timebomb long before Obama came into office. It was business as usual in Washington that caused it. So to our bumbling politicians I say, stop pointing fingers and fix this mess before this entire fiasco turns around and bites us all in the ass.
